Executive Director – Corporate governance, Legal Services, Financial Reporting & Dispute Resolution
To lead initiatives in Corporate Governance, Legal Services, Financial Reporting, and Dispute Resolution, ensuring that the organization remains the leading voice of Indian industry on matters of legal and regulatory reform, accounting standards, and corporate dispute resolution mechanisms. The incumbent will drive advocacy, research, and member engagement, represent the organization in key stakeholder forums, and manage the financial and administrative operations of the vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Governance & Transparency
- Develop initiatives to promote good governance, effective board practices, and transparency across corporate India.
- Facilitate structured consultations with members and experts to build consensus on governance and legal reform issues.
Legal & Regulatory Advocacy
- Drive policy advocacy for legal and regulatory reforms impacting industry.
- Liaise with Ministry of Law & Justice, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and other regulatory bodies.
- Prepare position papers, policy submissions, and analytical briefs for stakeholders.
Financial Reporting & Standards
- Engage with ICAI, NFRA, and other professional bodies on accounting, auditing, and disclosure matters.
- Contribute to national and international discussions on financial reporting standards.
Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
- Develop and promote frameworks for arbitration, mediation, and commercial dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with legal institutions to establish a Centre for Dispute Resolution.
Strategic & Administrative Leadership
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and team development.
- Ensure strong representation at government, regulatory, and international forums.
- Publish insights and reports on emerging trends in governance and legal frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS).
- Advantageous: Postgraduate degree in Law, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum 23 years in legal, governance, or financial regulatory roles within government, industry associations, or professional bodies.
